Ella brings a ray of sunshine to assisted living residents everywhere. This beautiful Goldendoodle is a sports fan as well as an educated lady. Ella could spend every waking moment chasing, catching and returning a tennis ball but her true love is listening to children read in the library. Her therapy work is her play, and she shares the golden spirit with all.
Ella was a big hit at the assisted living care facility where a 103-year-old grandmother, in a wheel chair, talked with her for several minutes in spanish. Hanging on her every word, Ella showed her handler that she understood Spanish perfectly. Who knew she was bilingual!
This sweet girl’s morning routine includes getting in bed with her owners and sharing her love by offering liberal helpings of kisses for both of them. Ella is looking forward to continuing her therapy work with hospice patients as well as people in assisted living facilities. Of course her favorite therapy is with children who enjoy a listening canine ear to help them have fun reading. Ella never gets impatient or tired of hearing them read; if she closes her eyes, it’s because she is listening intently to their beautiful stories.
