Heidi Anji’s Success Story

Heidi Anji’s Success Story

Heidi Anji’s , now known as Gryffin, much-anticipated arrival was greeted effusively by her family the day they brought her home.

They had wanted to rescue a golden for so long that when they met Gryffin, who reminded them of their previous one who had passed away, they knew it was meant to be. Not only has she brought a lot of energy into their house, their five-year-old golden gets much more exercise by spending her days playing with Gryffin.

According to her mom, Gryffin is simultaneously the sweetest dog ever and the craziest! Shadowing her mom wherever she goes, she may LOVE cuddling and taking naps with her, but she’s ready to play and run zoomies at a moment’s notice. She “smiles” when she gets excited, which is any time her parents move or look at her, and especially when they open the door to come home. She loves to steal anything she can find — from socks to dryer sheets. She never destroys them or tries to eat them, she just wants her parents to chase her to get them back.

She loves playing tug-o-war, while her favorite toy is still an orange chew toy she brought with her from her foster mom. And although her parents have bought others of the same kind, Gryffin seems to gravitate towards the original one. Even though the family hasn’t yet gone on any special outings together, they’re planning a ski trip this year and hope to bring all of their dogs with them.

Described by her doting mom as perfect (her parents couldn’t ask for a better dog), Gryffin still has a knack for “blowing them away.” Example: They had taken off their couch covers to wash them and left her unattended without giving it a second thought. She had an exciting time digging in the fluff of the cushion, throwing all of it up in the air, running zoomies through the mountain of batting she had made, then falling asleep on top of it. They couldn’t even be mad!

All high jinks aside, however, Gryffin completed basic obedience training and has started beginner agility classes.
