Meet Charlie! Charlie has the distinction of being GRRMF’s first dog. He came to GRRMF actually before there was a GRRMF, but it didn’t take long to form a loving volunteer organization around him.
Charlie, 10 months old golden, was found in a shelter needing extreme medical needs. Members from the Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club found out about Charlie and his life was changed forever. Charlie needed double hip surgery for his hip dysplasia, before he reached a year old. The club members raised funds for Charlie’s surgery and his medical care but the vet refused to accept it.
Charlie was adopted after his recovery and went on to live a wonderful life. From this act of kindness, GRRMF was formed and more than 3900 have been through our program.
